I bought this watch for my wife and we couldn't be happier with the purchase.
The  Toywatch watches have a lot to offer. You get that Rolex Submariner style look, in a bunch of fanciful colors, in light weight plastic and with a quartz movement.   They have the fashion credentials of being Italian designed, and by designers who are passionate about ostentatious watches.  Toy Watch use the impressive Miyota Quartz Movement (mechanical and wind on kinetic energy from your movement) and have been described by Toy Watch stockists as "indispensable" and "pioneering". They are built using a variety of materials like the classic that is steel to the strong and light Plastermic, such as with the Toy Watch Fluo.
The style is nice, VERY NICE and I like the idea behind the brand. I was concerned though that for over two hundred dollars you are overpaying for a watch that is plastic and has a very basic and inexpensive movement. So what you are paying for is a fashion statement, the hotness and to be part of a growing club of celebrities that have been known to wear the watches.

I bought this watch from a different retail store (Macys) but I was doing some comparison shopping here.  I would say if you can get it for 30% off its retail price you are getting a great deal.  Excellent value for a true Swiss made marvel.  Extermely accurate and elegant it will impress.  A bit heavy to wear at first (you will get used to it), very sporty and no nonsense bells and wistles.  Excellent watch, buy with no hesitation!!

gift for hubby - he loves it!

Hubby has a rolex but wears this Tag Heuer Aquaracer everyday now and loves it. The price points under $1000 were a great buy as it retails for $1397 plus (that was the lowest price in the stores I went to, finally I checked Amazon and it was a great deal comparatively). I didn't order in time for the $700 price but did get under $1000 via Amazon at Christmas and Amazon shipped next day in time for Christmas (whew! :-) ). At the time of this review, it's up to $1200 (price seems to fluctuate). The blue is royal blue. With the two tone metals, stainless and gold, and blue face, it's very sporty looking - upscale sporty. Hubby says it's keeping time better than the Rolex President he has...as long as he's happy with the gift then it's 5 stars from my perspective. I think it looks great too.

great looking watch, reasonable price

I've had my eye on this watch for a while on amazon before seeing it at a local jewelers on sale. The watch looks much bolder than the picture at the top of this page shows and seeing it in person It looks more like the TAG Heuer Aquaracer Quartz in Black except with a red pointed second hand that looks very classy as it gently sweeps around the face of the watch. The luminescent paint on the hour marks are very bright, but only last for a few hours. They do make the watch look very bold and sporty, and in that regard it's very versatile, I feel like I can literally wear this watch everywhere, in both casual and formal situations, and then be able to go for a swim afterwards with it on.

As a watch itself, it's difficult to justify the price if you're looking at nickels and dimes: it keeps time just like any other watch, and actually worse than quartz watches. But the automatic movement is a marvel to behold if you remember that it keeps time to within a few seconds per day with just gears and springs. (I'm a mechanical engineer by trade and this fact amuses me greatly). Likewise it's a well built, good looking piece of accessory that looks much simpler and classier than the chronograph style watches with a million dials that are popular in this price bracket.

I've had this watch for a week and the accuracy has gone down from gaining 15 seconds a day to about 12 now. These movements have a tendency to "stabilize" over the first few weeks, so if yours gains 15-20 seconds a day at first as some of the other reviews have noted, just give it some time (no pun intended) and then check it in a week or two. You can also get the watch calibrated by a jeweler if you really care about accuracy. Honestly I stare at a computer with a clock for 10 hours a day, so I never need to know what time it is to the second. I was initially pretty hesitant about getting an automatic for the accuracy reason, but after having this watch I realized that I don't really care: it's actually kind of fun synchronizing it to my iphone once a week.

The Tag Caliber 5 movement itself is a modified ETA movement that's found in many other Swiss automatics. It's a little more fluid (10 beats per second) than the Japanese movements, and the discrete ticking is barely noticeable. If it's movement for the buck you're looking for, you'd be better off with an Invicta #9937 which has the same movement for a little over $300. But the Tag excels in not looking like a Rolex knockoff, with bold looks that will get noticed, and phenomenal build quality. This is a watch that I'd want to wear for years to come.

What a nice watch. I've been looking for a watch since my Tissot was having trouble. My wife decided to get me this watch from a local Dept Store with a coupon. When I looked on Amazon, it was cheaper but not enough to return the original. The very next day, Amazon's price took a drop and I ordered it. We saved over $500. It's not the same box, but it looks much nicer than the one we returned (must have been the display model). I'm a little worried with the warranty, but have read that Amazon's is decent. Love the watch. Not too bulky, hands illuminate at night. Just what I was looking for. My wife has excellent taste. Glad we looked here.

Amazon = Terrible customer service

My new Tag Heuer i purchased from Amazon did not keep very accurate time. Since the warranty period is only 30 days, I set my watch to the atomic clock. I noticed within days it was off and called. They said it would take about 8 weeks to get it back. I love paying $800 and have my watch less than 30 days only to send it away for 2 months.

I never sent it and called back six months later after not wearing it and was told they couldn't help.

Terrible customer service. BEWARE

Another awesome watch from TAG

Much has been said about this watch and you can learn a lot more on the TAG HEUER website.

What may not be obvious though is this watch is somewhat unique in the Aquaracer Quartz Chrono series, in that it has a brushed finished throughout. The only polished items are the pushers and the crown. All band links and even the bolsters on the bezel are fine brushed - which gives the watch a subdued look.

The other two watches in this series (blue face and white face) have polished center links on the band and polished bezel bolsters. If you are looking for a little more blingy look, then this model may not be for you, check out the other two. Don't be fooled though - this is an understated style that still exudes quality and class.

The good news about this model is that you will worry less about scratches. This watch is no hangar queen - it should be worn liberally while at play.

As usual with TAG, the fit & finish are superb. All materials are of the highest quality. Amazon delivered the watch overnight and in brand new, unused condition.

It's a fine addition to any collection.

nice watch, good price, two problems; hour and second hand too narrow,difficult to see in dark or when they are in the same position, insufficent applications of
"light" on hands and face for it to be easily read at

Value and looks are hard to beat

So this is a $600-$700 watch, and for the price, it's amazing. I just bought one today, and I was with a buddy sporting a $5000 Cartier watch, and he was totally impressed. I'm not a guy who wants to wear that much cash on my wrist. Can't comment on durability.

Absolutely Satisfied...

as a young professional a few years into my trade i have been looking for a nice luxury watch, my first one at that. i looked for a few months in many different places, as well as trying on a number of different models and brands at jewelry stores around the area.

i decided on this watch with only a little hesitation ordering online since i had read many, many reviews about amazon. i am completely thrilled with my decision to say the least...i received the watch the next day and everything was impeccable. i will not hesitate to go thru amazon again for my next watch (not in the very near future though!), or any large purchase for that matter.

a couple thoughts and suggestions:

*i would recommend going to a local shop to try this on. i don't agree that it is too heavy or too large, in fact anything smaller would be too small for me...also note, the automatic version of this watch is thicker, heavier and not nearly as comfortable in my opinion...in my experience most of the places i went to only had this model

*getting this professionally fit after receiving could not be easier. i went to a jared's and it took less than 10mins for exactly $10 + tax. on top of that i asked the guy about the authenticity, he commented he'd ran a jewlery repair shop prior to that for over 10 years and the watch was undoubtely the real deal...not that i didn't think it was but, good-to-know

*after learning the simple chronograph functions i am very glad that's the style i decided on. it really is a pretty cool feature and i find myself timing stuff a lot just for the smell of it.

this watch is everything i had hoped for, beautiful, comfortable, noticeable but not "blingy", and $1000 cheaper than the next guy may have paid for it!

The Tag Heuer F1 Is a Classic Timepiece

The F1 Tag has been around forever, and unlike some other Tag styles (which have come and gone) it's a classic. Many other watch manufacturers have copied it. Along with the Link series, I would say this is one of the most popular Tag lines. I admit it's not a dress watch per se, but the latest incarnation is very sharp and one can wear it with a suit. Quality is top notch! I believe the black chronograph is the best of them' all.

This is my first watch purchase from Amazon, and you cannot beat the price. A very well known watch store by me was at least $350 more (plus tax). Amazon offers it own guarantee on the watches they sell but beyond that I have nothing more to add. Rest assured though, the watches are authentic and the savings cannot be ignored. (make sure the seller is Amazon)

I was bit nervous about ordering a fine watch over the internet, but my fears were baseless. I love this watch. It is exactly what was advertised. The only downside is that since Amazon is not an official Tag Heuer retailer you don't get an official warranty card. However Amazon does provide a comparable 2 year warranty. All in all I am very pleased with my purchase.
